I love this picture- thank you Aunt Emma. It reminds me of simple times. When life didn't have anything to do with a bad day at work or worrying about the savings account. The best part about this picture is that it was totally unplanned. Every face in this photo reflects sheer joy and I love it!Thursday, October 30, 2008

Dave Ramsey is No Joke!

Ted and I went to see Dave Ramsey this past Saturday. Wow, what a great guy. Not only was he entertaining, be made us realize we need to get our financial asses in gear. This is not going to be easy, but the outcome would be very rewarding for sure. Debt free? Can you imagine? Maybe I will revisit this in 2 years and see how we are coming. Not too much fun. He did throw out t-shirts that said- I SEE DEBT PEOPLE. Pretty clever!

Ode To Little Brother-

So Mrs. Jordan said that this is the kind of thing that should be on the blog. I really do need to get better at this! This is the email I sent her this morning....
Oh, totally thought about your husband last night when I was talking with Ted about……………………..damn what was it- and it was such a great story………………….ok, seriously…………..I”VE GOT IT! We were talking about all the good ways you can have macaroni and cheese; you know, like, baked, baked with topping, the creamy kind, the kind with eggs that tastes all good and curdled, and the box. Oh the box! Well growing up we had everything homemade; like you I am sure. Macaroni and cheese was just that- macaroni and white sauce with cheese, right. Well I was the biggest fan of the blue box ever and I would spend my money at 7-11 to buy a box after school. Could eat the entire box by myself. Well, I always made it at Kathy’s or Kellie's house. Kellie's parents had a charge account at Bazemore’s (upscale Larchmont shopery, but really totally ghetto looking back) so the mac was really free most of the time. Well, I make the mistake of bringing the blue box home and seriously you would have thought I brought heroin into the house. They freaked. I mean they were seriously pissed- “we don’t have that in our house”. Gigantic fight over Kraft mac n cheese. Get it out of here- literally. So, now that I have rambled on for 20 minutes, your kick a$$ husband bought me like 10 boxes for Christmas that year. I love me some Cory.
